Slam Jam along with London-based photographer Tom Andrew present “Glory”. An editorial to guide you into our high-end selection.
“I like to think the photography I produce contains a strong emotional energy, with enough distance from being representational in a physical sense, to allow the viewer to connect with this captured feeling. For this to happen it is important that all elements within my imagery find a collective fluidity. For this shoot I set out to capture a feeling which has been present in a lot of my work over the past year, for obvious global reasons as well as personal ones. A feeling of transition; traveling from dark in search of light and exploring an enduring mixture of turmoil and harmony along the way. Working with an incredible team, we created an environment our models interacted with, and I photographed their understanding of each part of the story and how they chose to react with it. I chose to work with brothers Victory and Marvel Ebinum as their improvised choreography is beautifully intuitive, and their likeness also brings a notion of self and reflection, to our story of exploration”.
